Planning your stage inspections on an Atherstone build
How to line up slab, frame, lock-up, waterproofing, fixing and PCI inspections on a new Strathtulloh home without missing a window.
In short: Each stage on an estate build is covered within days. A simple plan agreed with your supervisor at the start is what keeps every inspection on time.
Start with the construction program
Ask your builder for the construction program in writing when the contract is signed. It will not be exact, but it shows the order of stages and roughly how far apart they fall. Send it to us and we set up all the visits at once.
Agree a trigger for each stage
The most reliable system is a text from the site supervisor when steel is complete, trusses are fixed, the roof is closed, the membrane has cured and linings are up. Forward each one and we book the next day where possible.
Which stages carry the most risk
Slab and frame hold the structural items and are covered for good within days. Waterproofing is small but permanent once tiled. Those three plus the PCI are the core of any plan.
When dates move
Rain, materials and crews shift dates all the time. We rebook at short notice, so the worst outcome is not a late inspection but a skipped one because nobody passed on the message.
Keeping the paperwork together
Save each report with the matching progress claim. If a defect resurfaces years later, a dated report showing it was raised at the time is valuable.
