A dated photographic record of your home before earthworks start on the lot beside it.

The same six steps whether it is an Atherstone slab or a thirty year old acreage home.
Tell us the street, whether the home is under construction or already built, and what has prompted the call. For a new build, the builder's stage schedule helps us plan every visit at once.
The online form returns a figure as soon as you finish it. Nobody visits to sell you anything and nothing is booked until you say so.
We confirm a registered inspector and a slot that suits the site. If the builder brings a stage forward or pushes it back, tell us and we move with it.
The inspector works through the checklist for that stage or service, measures what can be measured and photographs every item. A thermal camera, moisture meter or drone comes out when it adds certainty.
You receive it within 24 hours: each defect with a photo, a plain description and the standard or drawing it falls short of, ready to pass straight to the site supervisor.
Ring us if the builder pushes back on an item. We explain the reasoning, point to the clause, and say honestly when something is minor enough to let go.

Appreciate all your efforts to ensure taking time to inspect all required details as per guidelines and assisting us in right directions for the Frame and pre-plaster inspection. Thank you Ty Pearson.
The inspection report was very detailed and has clear expectations with photos of the defects. Burak was also helpful when I called for further advice
Reports are consistent and thorough covering all aspects of the build stages. I don't understand myself in a lot of the aspects of building or the regulations so I'm happy I've engaged with a private building inspector.
He came few minutes earlier and started the inspection from the outside. Overall I am happy with his thorough inspection

Most owners take slab, frame, lock-up, waterproofing, fixing and the PCI. If you have to trim the list, keep the slab and frame visits, because once concrete and plaster are in place those defects cannot be seen again.
Yes. Pre-purchase and building and pest inspections on established Strathtulloh homes are a regular part of our work, and those houses raise different questions from the estates: older roofs, outbuildings, drainage across a big lot and timber pest conditions.
It lands within 24 hours, frequently on the evening of the visit itself. Stage reports are written so you can forward them to the builder without editing.

It is helpful but not essential for stage work. For the PCI and pre-purchase inspections we recommend coming, so we can walk you through the items before the report arrives.
We call you from site for anything structural or safety related, then document it fully in the report so the builder can rectify it before the next stage starts.

Our defect reports are written for you and your builder. If a dispute goes to the Building and Plumbing Commission dispute resolution service or VCAT, you need a separate expert witness report, which we also prepare.
